Dr. Melissa Johnson was born and raised in Marietta, GA. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Polytechnic State University in 2007. In 2011, she received a Master’s degree from Georgia State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude. After working as a veterinary technician for over a decade, she moved to the Caribbean to attend veterinary school at St. George’s University in Grenada. She completed her clinical rotations at Texas A&M University (…GO DAWGS!) and graduated Cum Laude in 2020. Dr. Johnson loves all things emergency medicine, especially the fast pace, unpredictability, and surgery. When not working in the ER overnight at Animal Hospital of Towne Lake, Dr. Johnson enjoys working out, riding her motorcycle, and spending time with family and friends.
